What started from very modest beginnings has grown over the years into a great success story. With one small workshop in Lahr, in the heart Germany’s Black Forest, master mechanic Richard Welter founded his company in 1946 and right away demonstrated convincing quality and performance. Today, WELTER is a well known company in the fields of drive technology and mechanical engineering.

More than 100 qualified and highly motivated employees operate in our modern production facilities in Lahr/Black Forest, Germany and at SPIROTEC in Valff, France.
Our customers are well-known manufacturers from the fields of railways, shipbuilding, mining and conveyor technology, as well as printing machines and machine tools.
